Before you start crackin' jokes about how much "white girls" love pumpkin spiced things... or how many "basic bitches" there are out there who won't stop raving about pumpkin spiced lattes from Starbucks.. Let me just say that pumpkin spice is for everyone! And if you don't agree then kindly shut your mouth.
On that same note however, STOP going to cafes and getting pumpkin spiced lattes! They don't even have pumpkin in them and have roughly 50g of processed sugar for a medium (16oz) latte.. Yikes! Not to mention the crazy amount unpronounceable ingredients hidden within that "pumpkin" drink.
This recipe makes about 2-3 medium sized coffees and tastes great, has no artificial crap in it, has good fats that will fuel your body and prevent blood sugar levels from spiking, and REAL pumpkin.
ATTENTION: Enjoy while wearing a scarf and a comfy baggy sweater for the ultimate "basic bitch" experience.
Pumpkin Spiced Coffee
|It was a dark and gloomy day in Calgary, Canada today. So not much natural lighting for a good picture :(|
2 C brewed coffee
1/2 C cashew milk
1 C coconut milk
1/2-1/3 C pure maple syrup (grade B, C or D)
3.5 tbsp pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
1 tsp pumpkin spice
1 tsp vanilla ext
In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine all ingredients and whisk together until hot. Put in blender and blend until foamy.
Enjoy hot or cold.
