My Daily Coffee Elixir

I had many requests to share the recipe for my daily favourite coffee elixir after sharing how I make it on Instagram. Because of the requests, here you are!

Be mindful that this recipe is more of a guideline. Feel free to use a little more of this or that to suit your taste preference, get creative by adding different herbs, and really try to notice how this coffee makes you feel after. I always add adaptogens such as mushrooms, ashwaganda, maca

root etc in my coffee because I love how it affects my mood and boosts cognitive function. I like adding fats because it makes the coffee a little less harsh on my stomach and my bowels, and it is very satiating because my body is fuelled by the healthy fat sources. The collagen adds a bit of protein (9g/tbsp) along with gut healing amino acids and also helps to keep you fuller for longer. 

Morning coffee is the best. It's relaxing, warming and the perfect way to stay the day.

1.5 C hot brewed coffee
1 - 2 tbsp coconut butter, coconut milk or grass fed butter 
2 tsp MCT oil
1 tbsp collagen powder
2 tsp - 1 tbsp maca powder
2 tsp - 1 tbsp ashwaganda, reishi mushroom, lions mane mushroom or medicinal mushroom blend.

Optional add ins:
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp rose water
1/2 tbsp cocoa
pinch of cinnamon or cardamom


Add all ingredients in high speed blender and blend 10-20 seconds.

Pour, sip and enjoy!
