Homemade BBQ sauce

A delicious and flavourful condiment that is not just for summer barbeques! 
This homemade BBQ sauce is easy to make, full of flavour and unlike store bought/mass produced sauces, free of refined sugar. 

You can use this sauce year round to marinate and roast meats or tofu, as a glaze on roasted cauliflower, a dip for chicken wings, a sauce to amp up your burgers or even as a pizza sauce.. the list goes on and on really. 

1 can tomato sauce (437ml)
1/4 C tomato paste
1/2 C apple cider vinegar
1/3 C honey
1/4 C molasses
3 tbsp worchestershire
2 tsp liquid smoke
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp harissa pepper or cayenne powder

Whisk all ingredients together in a medium saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium high heat. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.

Makes approximately 750ml of sauce. Store in airtight container for 7-10 days.
